The band Breakout is historically at the very forefront of Polish rock music. The release of their album Na drugim brzegu tęczy is believed to mark the beginning of rock in Poland. Breakout formed in 1968, emerging from the beat band Blackout. In their first years, from 1968 to 1969, the band presented a very original — for the Polish conditions at the time — combination of psychedelia, blues, and underground.

The CD is a sensational selection of (mostly unpublished) Breakout radio and concert recordings from 1968 to 1969, complete with a DVD. The material precedes even the recording of the band’s legendary first LP.

    An extra DVD contains three videos produced in 1969 for Polish television, enhanced with the refreshed soundtracks. The material was remastered from the master tapes for the first time at the optimal speed.
