Thanks to the courtesy of the Dusty Tapes Records, our website has another rarity addressed to all fans of the legendary The Shadows.

An absolutely fantastic collection of 100% previously unpublished recordings of Hank Marvin from 1969-1970. These are audio recordings from TV programmes. Many of the actual TV shows in question no longer exist. Thus, Hank’s live performances are only preserved for posterity thanks to these amateur recordings made by fans. These are off-air recordings, but the great majority of very good sound quality.

The set includes tracks previously played by Hank together with The Shadows (“The Rise And Fall Of Flingel Bunt”, “Maggie’s Samba”), as well as tracks from singles and his solo album created immediately after the breakup of the famous band (“Goodnight Dick”, “Sacha”, “Break Another Dawn”). Particularly interesting and extremely rare are tracks that have never been recorded on albums by Hank solo or by The Shadows (“One Note Samba”, “Zorba’s Dance”, “If I Had A Hammer”, etc.). On 12 of the recordings, Hank performs with Cliff Richard.

All of the source material has been carefully remastered from the only surviving copies with corrected speed and optimal sound restoration. The CD is packed with an elegant colorful card sleeve and including an insert with a detailed description of the tracks.
